"The best picture is still the one I have yet to take."
Giulia Paratelli is a freelance photographer based in London, specialising in portraiture, theatre, and editorial storytelling.
Her career began at 23 while completing a Master’s Degree in International Management at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy.
Photography was an illumination.
Starting out as a photojournalist for local newspapers and magazines, Giulia soon expanded her work to include festivals, concerts, events, universities, and theatres across Italy. In 2019, she moved to London to pursue new creative goals and broaden her experience.
During the pandemic, she adapted—first working as a jewellery photographer in Central London, then as a product photographer for the auction house Bonhams in Knightsbridge. Ultimately, she chose to return to what she loves most: photographing people.
Giulia brings strong studio and lighting skills, a keen eye for detail, and a distinctive sense of composition to every project. She is proficient in photo editing and post-production, with advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Today, she works as a theatre photographer, creates editorials, documents events, collaborates with media agencies, and continues to develop personal projects that amplify underrepresented voices and contribute to a more inclusive, better world.
